十四、可数名词复数和不可数名词的用法
（一）可数名词复数
定义：名词在数量上是一个以上的则为复数。
（二）如何变名词复数：
1.一般在名词后加s：book--books;desk—desks
2.s,x,ch,sh或o(有时)结尾，则加es：bus—buses;glass—glassesbox—boxes
watch—watchespotato—potatoestomato—tomatoes
(注意：photo—photosradio—radiospiano—pianoszoo--zoos)
3.辅音字母+y结尾，则要把y改i，再加es。
baby—babiesbalcony—balconiesfamily—families
注意：以元音字母+y结尾的名词变复数时，直接加s就可以了。
如：boy—boysday—dayskey--keys
4.字母f或fe结尾，则把f或fe变成ves
leaf—leavesknife—kniveshalf—halves
5.不规则（要熟记）
man—menwoman—womenchild—children
tooth—teethfoot—feetmouse—mice
this—thesethat—thosehe,she,it—they
6.单复数形式相同的名词
people—peoplesheep—sheepchinese—Chinese

(三)不可数名词（注意：不可数名词前不加a，an，one，后面不加s等复数形式，就
是说不可数名词不用变。）

4.特殊情况：papertofufoodtreasure

(四)区别many/much/some/alotof/lotsof/plentyof/的用法
一般只能和可数名词连用。如：manybooks
一般和不可数连用。如：muchfood,muchwater。much也可用于比较级前，
表示两者相差很大。如:Jupiterismuchbiggerthantheearth.(木星比地球大得多)
,any,alotof,lotsof,plentyof既可用在可数名词，也可用在不可数名词。
