长城是中国的象征。远看那雄伟的长城，像一条长龙在崇山
峻岭之间蜿蜒盘旋，从山海关到嘉峪关，就有一万三千多里!
从北京出发，但是几十公里就能到达长城脚下。啊，长城好
长好长，一眼望不到头，仿佛巨蛇躺在山岭上休息。长城是用许
多条石和城砖筑成的。顶上铺着方砖，十分整齐，像一条宽宽的
马路，五六匹马儿能够并排走。城墙外沿有两米多高的成排的垛
子，上方有方形的望口和射口，供了望和射击用，城墙顶上，隔
几百米有座城台，古时候打仗能够相互呼应!长城并不是一道单

如果站在长城上，很自然会想起古代修筑长城的劳动人民。

缮的山海关至嘉峪关一线的长城比较完好，便被人认为是历长城
的起点和终点。
其中长城目前保存最完整的一个建于中国明代(1368---
