5W1H(what,who,when,where,why和how)开头的疑问句。例如:Why did Andy fail to notice the swarm of bees earlier?Which of the following is NOT mentioned about the swarm of bees in the passage? What effect does reading have on the author? What did the writer want to do when his mother came home? How did the author feel about Goldie when Goldie came to the house? 2. Indian elephants are getting increasingly angry and they revenge because ______.

Goldie rushed off to a farmhouse one day because she ______. 3. 以according to 开头的句子。 According to the text, Kody ______. According to Jane in the first paragraph, the low ______.

According to the writer, what eventually brought about the disappearance of thepark? 4. Which of the following is true of Christopher Thomas? What did the writer want to do when his mother came home?(2010年浙江卷) A. To introduce Stephanie to her. B. To prevent her from seeing his painting. C. To put the materials back in the yard. D. To show his artwork to her. 分析 在文中迅速找到描写他的妈妈到家时的句子:在第四段“I saw a car in the distanceand jumped up as I recognized the car. It was my mother. I couldn’t wait to show her mymasterpiece.”

The author says“I’m so glad I did. ”(in para. 2)because ______. What can be inferred about the author as a child? The last sentence of the passage implies that if another drought came, ______. It can be inferred from the passage that in the writer’s opinion, ______. The passage starts with an elephant story in order to explain that in India ______. It can be learned from the passage that parents should ______. A. encourage children to paint B. value friendship among children C. discover the hidden talent in children D. protect rather than destroy children’s dreams 分析 本题若依据生活常识,则会误选A或C。 Which of the following can best describe Andy’s escape from the bees? Which of the following can be the best title of this text? What is the theme of the story? Theunderlined word“voice” in the second paragraph most probably means“______”.

  A. an idea B. a sound quality C. a way of writing D. a world to write about 分析 根据文中 “... but being unable to find the right ways to say it. He has to find hisown voice by reading widely and discovering which parts of the writers he agrees or disagreeswith, or agrees with so strongly that it reshapes his own world.” 【技巧点拨】 做这种题通常会有下面这些情况:在画线词的前一句,本句或后一句中常有一个与之意义相近,相同或相反的词,其标志词有连词and, or,转折词though, although, still, instead of, ratherthan, while, but, on the one hand ... on the other hand, unlike等;也可以通过修饰这个词的定语从句、同位语从句的含义推测单词的含义,这时从句前常见的词有or,similarly, that is(to say), inother words, namely, or other, say等。

Helpingthem enjoy science can be easy; there's no need for a lot of scientific terms or expensive labequipment. You only have to share your children's curiosity(好奇). Firstly, listen to theirquestions. I once visited a classroom of seven-year-olds to talk about science as a job. Studies over the past 30 years have shown that, afterasking a question, adults typically wait only one second or less for an answer, no time for achild to think. When adults increase their "wait time" to three seconds or more, children givemore logical(符合逻辑的), complete and creative y, watch your language. Once you have a child involved in a science discussion, don't jump in with "That's right" or "Very good". These words work well when it comes toencouraging good behavior(行为). But in talking about science, quick praise can signal thatdiscussion is over. Instead, keep things going by saying "That's interesting" or "I'd neverthought of it that way before", or coming up with more questions or push a child to "Think". It doesn't make sense, children are always thinking, withoutyour telling them to. What's more, this can turn a conversation into a performance. The childwill try to find the answer you want, in as few words as possible, so that he will be a smallertarget(目标)for your , show; don't tell. Real-life impressions of nature are far more impressive than anylesson children can learn from a book or a television program. For example, we must judge whether theperson in the library is a reader or a librarian, whether the telephone caller is a friend or asalesman, whether the unfamiliar person on our property(领地)is a thief or a meter reader, and so statuses we assume often vary with the people we meet, and change throughoutlife. Most of us can, at very high speed, assume the statuses that various situations of social interaction consists of identifying and selecting among appropriate statusesand allowing other people to assume their statuses in relation to us. This means that we fitour actions to those of other people, based on a constant mental process of assessmentand understanding although some of us find the task more difficult than others; most of usperform it rather effortlessly.A status has been compared to ready-made clothes. Within certain limits the buyer canchoose style and material. But an American is not free to choose the clothes of a Chinesepeasant or that of a Hindu prince. We must choose from among the clothing presented byour rmore, our choice is limited to a size that will fit, as well as by our made a choice within these limits we can have certain changes made, but apart fromminor adjustments, we tend to be limited to what the stores have on their shelves.
