复合句，并列句和简单句的转换
1、把时间状语从句转化为一个介词短语。
Shewentforawalkaftershehadsupper.→Shewentforawalkaftersupper.
IcouldswimwhenIwaseightyearsold.→Icouldswimattheageofeight.
2、把because引导的原因状语从句转化为becauseof短语。
Hewaslateforschoolbecauseitrainedheavily.
→Hewaslateforschoolbecauseoftheheavyrain.
3、把wh-（how）引导的宾语从句用“疑问词＋动词不定式”可以转化为简
单句，方法是：去掉宾语从句的主语，将其谓语变为“to+动词原形”（有助动词
的，要一并去掉）。
Idon’tknowhowIcananswerthequestion.→Idon’tknowhowtoanswerthe
tellmewhatIshoulddofirst.→Pleasetellmewhattodofirst.
4、把so…that…引导的含结果状语从句的复合句转化为简单句时，要达到三
看。
一看结果：结果是肯定的用enoughtodosth.转换，结果是否定时，用
too…to…，或用notenoughtodosth.转换。
二看主语：如果主从句的主语不同一，加上for连接从句的主语。
三看宾语：如果从句的宾语和主句的主语是指的是同一人（物），应删去
从句中的宾语。
Heissoyoungthathecan’tjointhearmy.→Heistooyoungtojointhearmy.
Sheworkssohardthatshecanpasstheexam.→Sheworkshardenoughtopass
issoheavythatwecan’tcarryit.→Theboxistooheavyforusto

theearlybus.9、定语从句改为分词短语或介词短语。

10、祈使句＋and＋简单句→Ifyou…,you’ll…；祈使句＋or＋简单句
